Our approach to creativity, communication, and events draws inspiration from the Wunderkammer, also known as the Chamber of Wonders or Le Cabinet de Curiosités. The Wunderkammer is a tribute to human ingenuity and creativity in manipulating nature to produce something phenomenal. Our objective is to design exceptional experiences that embody the essence of the Wunderkammer, and bring its magic to life.

Placemaking is a process centered on people and their needs, aspirations, esires, and visions, which relies strongly on community participation

We strongly believe in the power of human connections. Placemaking involves more than just the physical aspect of a place, such as sociability, uses, activities, access, connections, comfort, and image. It seeks to create strong bonds between people and a sense of community by restoring the unique identity of a place and enhancing it with wonder, creativity, imagination, and practicality.

Our mission is to improve the quality of urban environments by recognizing the unique needs of different people and valuing diversity. We strive to create dynamic communication formats that enable companies to connect more immediately with their customers.

Carlo Barbarossa
Founder & CEO
Carlo Barbarossa began his career in the fashion press industry, working for Iceberg, N°21, and the AEFFE group. Later, he joined a creative communications and strategy agency where he led creative communications and account strategy for clients such as IQOS (Philip Morris Italia), Dom Pérignon (Moët Hennessy), MINI Italia, S. Pellegrino (Nestlé Waters), and Absolut (Pernod Ricard Italia). In 2023, he established the Porta Venezia Design District and became its creative marketing and communication director. Carlo also served as the supporter and communication manager for the Orgoglio Porta Venezia project. After working in communications and events for almost 10 years, he founded Wunderplace Studio.
